1. ABOUT VEHICLE CHECK

1.1 Vehicle Check is an information service provided by Code Lab Platforms Limited, trading as iTrader.im, a company incorporated in the Isle of Man (company number 139244C) whose registered office is at Ny Croityn, Bay View Road, Port Erin, Isle of Man, IM9 6NA ("iTrader", "we", "us" or "our").

1.2 By choosing to run a Vehicle Check, you acknowledge these Vehicle Check Terms. That acknowledgement records only the current terms version and the time of acknowledgement in your browser's local storage. It does not send an acceptance receipt to our server and does not store a registration mark or Vehicle Check result.

2. INFORMATION SERVICE ONLY

2.1 Vehicle Check combines information returned by third-party and public sources. Depending on the registration, those sources may include Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) vehicle-enquiry data, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) MOT history data, Isle of Man Government vehicle information, and external auction references.

2.2 Results are provided for general information only. They are not legal, financial, mechanical, safety, valuation, provenance, ownership, insurance, or purchasing advice.

2.3 A Vehicle Check does not replace an independent vehicle-history check, finance check, physical inspection, engineer's report, verification of the seller and ownership documents, or professional advice appropriate to your circumstances.

3. SOURCE LIMITATIONS

3.1 We do not create or control the underlying source records. Source data can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, incorrectly matched, or inaccurate. A registration mark may have changed, been transferred, or have incomplete links between Isle of Man and United Kingdom records.

3.2 Auction references are possible external matches, not proof that the checked vehicle appeared at a particular sale. You must verify identifiers and source records independently.

3.3 We do not warrant that a result is complete, current, accurate, available, suitable for a particular purpose, or evidence of a vehicle's identity, condition, ownership, mileage, roadworthiness, write-off category, finance status, or lawful use.

4. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 You must use Vehicle Check lawfully and must not use results to mislead another person, make automated or excessive requests, interfere with the service, or attempt to access source systems contrary to their terms.

4.2 Before buying, selling, driving, insuring, or relying on a vehicle, you are responsible for checking the original source records and carrying out all appropriate independent checks.

5. AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

5.1 Vehicle Check is provided on an "as available" basis. A source may be unavailable, rate-limited, changed, or withdrawn without notice. We may change, suspend, or discontinue a source or the Vehicle Check service.

5.2 We may update these Terms when the service or its sources change. The interface will ask for a new browser acknowledgement when the published Vehicle Check policy version changes.

6. LIABILITY

6.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

6.2 Subject to clause 6.1, you must not rely on Vehicle Check as the sole basis for a transaction or safety decision. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss arising from unavailable, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly matched, or inaccurate third-party source data, or from a decision made without appropriate independent checks.

7. PRIVACY AND BROWSER STORAGE

7.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies, including the versioned local-storage acknowledgement used by Vehicle Check.

7.2 The acknowledgement is a disclosure record stored only in the browser. Clearing browser storage or using a different browser or device may cause the acknowledgement to be requested again.

8. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Isle of Man. Subject to mandatory legal rights, the courts of the Isle of Man have jurisdiction over disputes relating to Vehicle Check.
